Digital and Other Media

In addition to articles and book chapters, I have written label for the Met, created blogs highlighting the innovative tribal public health work, edited zines with writing by young women of color, and more. My writing projects all center knowledge creation by marginalized communities, with a particular emphasis on health equity in Native communities.

Daughters of Violence Zine

Daughters of Violence was a zine anthology by women and non-binary folks of color edited by myself and Michelle Kiang. It grew from our desire to create an anthology of the contemporary experiences of young women and non-binary folks of color. The two issues of the zine, published in 2017, included writing and art from more than two dozen contributors. Issue one focused on mental health, while issue two focused on food. The zines were sold online and at Women and Children First Bookstore in Chicago, IL.
